The television show, Mountain Men, has been a huge hit over the last several years. One reason why is Marty Meierotto, a featured mountain man that spends most of the winter on a remote trapline in Alaska's interior.
Marty is a lifelong trapper, a husband, father, and a writer. His new book, "In The Land of Wilderness," is an action packed collection of hunting and trapping tales over several decades. It's an excellent read that offers a thorough look into the life of the nomadic lifestyle of trapping.
Marty agreed to join me for an episode where we discuss his trapping lifestyle, hunting, challenges, wildlife, being on a hit television series, and his vision of telling the real story of living in the Alaskan bush. Marty is a truly authentic, tough, and hardworking man of whom I've had the great pleasure of getting to know as we recorded this episode. Buckle up! You won't regret listening to this one!
